To Parents of Lamar Juniors (2008-2009); our Lamar Senior Class of 2010!

Many thanks to the parents who have already joined our efforts to raise funds for our children’s class! We welcome meeting and working with the rest of you. In fact, we need the participation of each parent through financial support, volunteer time, or both in order to reach our lofty goals to…

Finance, organize and implement the following:

1. The All Night After Prom Party with anticipated expenses of at least $50,000 –

$60,000 and considerable volunteer hours

Parents for each class are responsible for this enormous four-year endeavor to raise all funds to provide a safe after party to keep our children off the streets and highways and out of danger in the “wee hours” following their Senior Prom. As student attendance cannot be mandatory, the only way to ensure the children will attend is to create a casino-themed after party awesome enough and rewarding at its conclusion that they are enticed to stay until the bitter end! Those who stay are typically thrilled that they did, and, reportedly, have had more fun than those who left for alternative partying. A great deal of the funding goes toward providing extravagant auction items that the students bid on with their “play money” casino winnings. In the past, some classes have also been able to give away exciting cash prizes. This past year, it was quite a success with hundreds of 2007 Seniors remaining at the party.

Currently, our class has raised approximately 20% of our minimum anticipated goal through 15% of our parents in our first year efforts. If you have not already done so, please let us know of your willingness to become involved by sending the following information to:
