I am very excited to announce the new PTO Executive Board elected at the PTO General Meeting in April. The officers are as follows:

An Ad Hoc Committee has been appointed to meet throughout the summer to study the PTO By-Laws and make recommendations. The members of this committee are: Mona Sandhop, Sarah Ballanfant, Ann Blackwood, Liz Holmes, Ann Culver, Cynthia Lange, and DeAnn Englert.
Congratulations to the Class of 2008! We are very proud of our graduating seniors who will attend a variety of colleges in the fall including Duke University, USC, Howard University, Princeton, Vanderbilt, Stanford, University of Texas, Harvard, Brown, Washington University to name a few.
Lastly, thank you for the opportunity to serve as your president this year. Our Executive Board could not have done it this year without the 1,031 VIPS parent volunteers who have served tirelessly for our Lamar students. We appreciate our volunteers more than you will ever know.
Have a wonderful summer!
Sincerely yours,
DeAnn Englert
MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT!
Please give the PTO a gift this year and sign up at Randall’s for the Good Neighbor Program. This is an easy task. Please take your Remarkable Card and the Good Neighbor form to the courtesy booth. The form can be downloaded from this website. Please fill in the charity number: Lamar High School PTO 11772. Your remarkable card will be coded. From now on, every time you make a purchase, Lamar PTO will receive 1% of the amount. Get your family members and neighbors to do the same thing and we’ll really be able to make an even greater impact.
